All of our pricing appears on this page, as our open source platform allows us to keep things simple. Perhaps the simplest feature of all is that we require no service contract. We are confident that the quality of our service will result in client retention.

Monthly Service Plan

Your monthly service payment goes toward the cost of hosting, one hour of support (non-accruing), security patch installs, and regular Drupal core and module upgrades. As developers world-wide are contributing to the Drupal community around the clock every day, we follow new developments and modular upgrades to determine which solutions best match the needs of independent schools. We continually apply these upgrades to our system, and a typical month includes several modular upgrades. The end result: your site is always current.

Additional services

Optional page building Our full service plan includes an initial site build of up to 60 pages. The Drupal CMS allows users to publish pages on their own, and after being trained by newschoolyard staff prior to launch, users are encouraged to build any additional required content. If for whatever reason(s) you want newschoolyard to build additional pages required for launch beyond the initial 60, our page building rate is $75/hr.

Campus visit One of the ways in which we reduce cost is to keep travel at a minimum. During the design phase of a project, should you request a visit to campus, our daily rate plus economy travel expenses is well below the industry standard: $895/day plus reasonable expenses. Technical support One hour included in monthly service fee (non-accruing.) $150/hr in blocks of 5 hours; $185/hr for single-hour increments. 

Existing Drupal site migration Is your school currently running its own Drupal system? Migrate to newschoolyard and gain the benefit of hosting, support, and maintenance. Your monthly fee includes routine upgrades and security patches to the system as newschoolyard actively monitors the Drupal community for modifications to the core and to Drupal modules. Price: variable migration fee @ $185/hr; $399/mo.

Newschoolyard Custom Services For schools seeking custom module development, database integration solutions, or comprehensive project management consultation services, we will provide individual estimates on a case by case basis at a rate of $185/hr.

Dedicated 20GB server for schools requiring more than 4GB of server space for the support of substantial media files, we can provide dedicated virtual server space of up to 20GB for an additional monthly fee of $50.
