Newschoolyard at DrupalCon San Francisco!
Newschoolyard at DrupalCon San Francisco!
Newschoolyard is engaged in the Drupal community. I have been in the independent school website business for fifteen years, or 180 months, and this past month has been, by far, the coolest and most mind-boggling of all. Newschoolyard's Platform Architect, Jason Pamental, is headed to San Francisco for DrupalCon next week and my only regret is that I am not going with him. We joined the Drupal education community some months ago, and we are excited to make face-to-face contact with those whose voices we have only heard electronically.
Why are we going? Two reasons, actually. Jason has been tasked with being both a megaphone and a sponge. We are on a mission, and our mission is to deliver to independent schools a robust web-based communication system that is simple, affordable, intuitive and elegant. We are very close to launching our Drupal system for schools, and it is no accident that the contours of this system will reflect the input and perspective of school people we have met during our few brief months in existence. We look forward to seeing some of these people in San Francisco, and when Jason heads home, we expect his carry-on luggage will include a bundle of Drupal dazzle, resting upon a big fat layer of Drupal Education resources.
Safe travels, Jason. If you have any discretionary time, get to Vesuvio's in North Beach.
